Now it has spread across the country donating 75 percent of income to cancer research and education, totaling $2 billion dollars to date. Join the fight on October 18 by participating in the 19th Annual Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Komen Race with a 5K Run beginning at 8 a.m. followed by a 9:45 a.m. Tot Run. The event will feature 60s and 70s music, drinks, a secret celebrity impersonator and guests are encouraged to dress up to match the theme. All proceeds benefit child mentoring and development. It’s one charitable event that won’t feel like one.

Over its 19-year history, the gala has raised $14.3 million dollars for 3,000 deserving children looking for one last thrill at the end of their journey.
